We’re thrilled to announce that the wonderful BILLIE PIPER, last with us in 2014, will be making a return visit, joining us as a headline guest for our upcoming February 2024 convention, Gallifrey One’s Miracle on 34th Street.
Billie Piper
Billie Piper is best known to Doctor Who fans for portraying Rose Tyler, companion to the Ninth and Tenth Doctors, the series’ first co-star upon its return to the air in 2005… and a major part of the reason its return to TV was such a smashing success. A popular musician and actress who went immediately from her Doctor Who stint direct to three years as the star of the drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl, returned for Doctor Who’s fourth series and again (as the Moment) for the show’s 50th anniversary in 2013. She later starred in Showtime’s Penny Dreadful; in the Netflix series Collateral, for which she was nominated for a BAFTA for Best Supporting Actress; and in Sky Atlantic’s I Hate Suzie, for which she received two Best Actress BAFTA nominations. Piper also won the 2017 Olivier Award and multiple other awards for her stage role in the play Yerma. More recently, she has reprised the role of Rose Tyler for Big Finish Productions in one series of stories with Tennant, and two series focused exclusively on Rose. Last with us ten years ago in 2014, we are thrilled to welcome Billie Piper back to Gallifrey One in 2024, courtesy Showmasters Events; she will be with us on Friday and Saturday.
