A kaffeeklatsch (pronounced “coffee-klatch”) is an informal gathering of one or more guests with a small group of fans, discussing our guests’ work; they take place in a small board room next to the elevator lobby and attendees are provided coffee & tea as part of the event. Kaffeeklatsches are very popular at Gallifrey One and take place with 20-30 of our guests throughout the weekend, and each run one hour.
Online sign-ups for the next convention’s Kaffeeklatsch program will take place in January 2024.
We use a modified lottery system to reward attendees who are online and ready when sign-ups go live; only those who fill out the form in the first five minutes included in the initial lottery. For others that do not fill up immediately, we will select participants lottery-style from the entire pool of sign-ups until we close the process. We’ll email the list of lucky participants with their kaffeeklatsch assignments.
If you miss out (or if you’re unable to make your assigned event) all is not lost: the Gallifrey One Kaffeeklatsches Desk opens up Friday morning for additional sign-ups. You can also check there to see if additional slots in your preferred session have opened up.
Photos are below. Please note we do not have photos available from the 2022 Kaffeeklatsches at this time (2023 photos are pending.)
